Hope springs eternal and though we tire and falter
It is the strength in our hearts and mind
that we must daily alter
If we are to smile and if we are to run
We must never give up for joy is yet to come
I’ve been HIV poz for 9 yrs… AIDS for the past two.. I was taking Rayetez for two years and they switches it to Prezista two pills a day as well.. If this is your 1st time with weight loss and flucuations with your CD4’s then your doing pretty good I wouldn’t stress it. Diareah, Nausea, and Weight Loss are all part of this package. If your blood was drawn while you were sick, then thats why your CD4 dropped.. Did your T Helper cells drop as well?
Hey Justin, you’re becoming quite the advocate, Bravo! I hope you feel ok on the new meds, and you stay healthy through the holidays avoiding the colds and flu, and cheers to you for a great 2010!
I wish I was there to give you a big hug my friend. You know I love you dearly and I hate to see the emotion on your face like that.
I am hear if you need me, call ANYTIME if you just need someone besides your husband to talk to. You are a strong person and you will pull through. I am sure that after the appointment in February you will post a more upbeat video about how you gained weight and probably need to hit the gym more and your T-Cells are so high you can give some away.
I am a 10+ year survivor of HIV and I want you to know that I’ll always be here anytime you need to talk .. I sent you a pm on here as well .. Much Love …Travis
Justin, your courage is amazing! I’m so honored you are in my life! Though I know its hard, you cannot mentally enslave yourself to the numbers. Focus on taking care of your body. Alcohol kills white blood cells…gotta stop that. Incorporate living foods which build cells into your diet. Most importantly ALWAYS see yourself as the healthy, happy man God created. You are much bigger than the appearance of your circumstance.
Hey Justin. Always know that I am praying for you and you are never far from my heart. I know you can do this, I dont doubt it for one second. YOU are such a huge inspiration to me and I know you will pull through this challenge just fine. I was going to ask about the vitamin D supplement, I’ve added to my diet as well. I take it right before bed. I get sick when I take it with my other vitamins. I LOVE YOU JUSTIN and you do your best to be strong and get through this ok. Call me if you want to
*Big Hugs*….Justin,I have changed meds before,I became resistant to my first group of meds. The actual side effects didn’t bother me when I changed.Well the dreams became way more vivid than before.
Just keep thinking the way you have been in the past. This is just a mild change in your journey.I have some weight that I have gained that I can let you have..*smile*
I’m sure the cold you had play a big part in the weight loss.Because when you are sick you don’t eat much.
Justin,
Be encouraged. You are an imspiration to me. Yes, you do have so much to live for………….YOU, your husband, family and the other folks that support you.
Love you man, C.-
i need educated… whats the big deal about switching meds? if you have some adverse reaction, you switch again.. kiddo, don’t let the small stuff get you down.. rely more on how you feel than what people tell you..i know its not easy. but shut out the negative and try to only focus on the positive..enjoy the holidays and get fat..your kind of lucky your encouraged to gain weight.. while alot of us are trying to lose it..i would definitely quit the alcohol. pick up a candy bar instead. *hugs*
Don’t give up chile, you are strong. This is one major test, but you will pull through. Stay strong for your hubby, mom, and brothers. Stay strong, tell the devil 2 fuck off. God has your back, your one major angel!
Justin- oyu are so inspiring to so many ……I saw in a recent study that most African-Americans don’t get enough vitamin D ….we are a “people of the sun” and we need the vitamin to help compesate at this lattitude ………….stay strong and stay blessed man!!
wow, Justin. I can see the fear and anxiety in you, but it is temporary and change is hard. YOU always perservere and we all do love you so much! You inspire me, you truly do.
